The optional grain slide gate from Knapen Trailers is used in the agricultural sector to safely dose and unload grain above a drop. The grain slide is installed at the base of the rear doors or tailgate. On request, one or two grain slide gates can be installed on the moving floor trailer, depending on the unloading site and the required unloading speed. The grain slide gate can also be combined with a hopper for unloading onto a conveyor.
Transporting grain products such as wheat, barley and maize exerts high forces and pressure on the rear doors. Depending on the unloading site, opening the rear doors fully can cause dangerous situations. A grain slide gate is an effective solution. After the moving floor has been activated, the grain slide gate controls the flow and discharges the load safely.
