Floor planks with various profiles can be installed in Knapen moving floor trailers. You select the profile with your dealer depending on the sector your trailer will be used for and the type of cargo to be carried. The standard aluminium floor plank from Knapen is available in thicknesses of 10, 8, and 6 mm.
Versatility is a characteristic of the sturdy 10 mm aluminium floor profile. This profile has the same specifications as the standard 6 mm floor, however the profile is 4 mm thicker. The floor scores high on impact and wear resistance and can also be driven over by a standard 2.5 ton forklift with a maximum wheel load of up to 1500 kg per wheel*. This makes this floor very suitable for transporting practically all types of loads.
If, following years of intensive use, the rear of the floor planks starts to show signs of wear and tear, the floor can be shortened or turned in a Knapen service workshop to give the floor a new lease of life. A final benefit is the significantly higher value for trade-in of the moving floor trailer. These features make this floor a genuine all-rounder and a perfect match with Knapen's spearhead Lowest Cost of Ownership.

The 8 mm aluminium floor profile is a great choice if you are looking for a solution in between the 10 mm and 6 mm versions. The floor is lighter with a lower price than the 10 mm floor and 2 mm thicker and more impact resistant than the 6 mm floor. Additional bearings can be placed under the floor planks for increased impact resistance.
The light yet strong 6 mm aluminium floor profile is often used for lighter loads, such as grain and potting soil. If greater support is required to increase impact resistance, additional bearings can be installed as an option under the floor planks. The 6 mm floor can be driven over by a standard 2 ton forklift with a maximum wheel load of up to 1000 kg per wheel*
*Follow the instructions in the user manual
The 10, 8 and 6 mm aluminium floor profiles are available in a smooth and ribbed version. Select the ribbed version if guiding the load or providing grip is required during unloading and loading, for example with pallets. Select the smooth version if a ribbed floor might otherwise damage the load, paper rolls for example.
