TPMS: Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Reduced costs, improved safety

The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) TireCheck is a proven and widely used tyre pressure monitoring system. The TPMS has been specifically developed to further reduce the operating costs of your trailer and increase safety. Starting from 7 July 2024, to comply with the R141 regulation, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has been mandatory for all new trailers. Read more about the functions and benefits of TireCheck below.

The TireCheck TPMS continuously monitors the tyre pressure and tyre temperature using strap-mounted sensors attached to the rim. If there is a pressure loss of 10% or the tyre temperature is too high, the driver is alerted immediately in the cab via the EBS modulator under the trailer.

The current values can be viewed on the dashboard of the truck and the TireCheck app. After a tyre has been changed, the new sensor can be registered easily by scanning the sensor ID with the app.

Reduced trailer downtime
Text

TireCheck has been specifically developed to maintain the optimal tyre pressure of your trailer. We now all know that the tyre life is largely determined by ensuring correctly inflated tyres. Research reveals that just 15% over-inflation or under-inflation can reduce a tyre’s effective life by more than 10%.

Measuring tyre temperature and pressure detects any gradual leaks in time so you intervene and replace or repair the tyre. This prevents downtime caused by vehicle breakdowns, as well as the costs of assistance and recovery and costly on-site repairs. Installing a TPMS ensures the optimal tyre pressure is maintained and maximises the tyre life.

Lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions
Text

As the price of diesel is the largest variable cost for transport companies, good fuel management and savings are extremely important. The higher the roll resistance of the tyres, the higher the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Ensuring the tyres are correctly inflated increases the fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions.

Improved safety

Driving with the incorrect tyre pressure is dangerous. This means the truck and trailer have a longer breaking distance and too low tyre pressure increases the risk of blowouts. Maintaining the tyre pressure at the recommended level improves the safety for your driver and the surroundings.
