As an option, Knapen moving floor trailers can be equipped with a protection plate on the upper rail. This protection plate absorbs the impact when the trailer is being loaded by a loader or crane, for example, or when sharp material is loaded. This protection plate is highly versatile and compatible with virtually all Knapen Trailers. This durable option contributes positively to the service life of your trailer and the roof sheet.
If a protection plate is chosen in combination with a manually operated roof sheet, the robust protection plate has a standard thickness of 5 mm. This manually operated protection plate weighs just 20 kg and is mounted on the upper rail of the trailer. For added protection, choose the extra sturdy 25 mm thick reinforced profile as a protection plate.
Does your trailer feature an automatic sheeting system? In this case, the trailer will be equipped as standard with a 25 mm thick reinforced profile as a protection plate. This version weighs just 40 kg and offers optimal protection without adding unnecessary weight. When the PowerSheet® is fully opened, the robust protection plate lifts automatically to protect the roof sheet immediately. The automatic version of the protection plate is only supplied in combination with a PowerSheet®.
