As an optional feature, the Knapen moving floor trailer can be equipped with an automatically retractable movable bulkhead. This option saves time with each load, increases safety and offers additional ease of use. Ideal for every driver and compatible with virtually all Knapen Trailers.
The hydraulic motor of the automatically retractable moveable bulkhead is securely positioned on the outside of the trailer, against the head board under the platform. The motor also features a protective cover for additional protection and safety.
After unloading, the powerful motor pulls the bulkhead back against the head board at a controlled speed in about 15 seconds. Adding just 40 kg of extra weight, the impact on the total weight of the trailer is minimal.
The automatically retractable moveable bulkhead is the perfect solution for situations when the trailer needs to be unloaded quickly, or at sites where drivers are not permitted to leave the cab. Simply pushing a button on the Knapen Trailers remote control activates the powerful, hydraulically driven belt winch that pulls the moveable bulkhead forwards automatically.
The belt winch of the automatically retractable moveable bulkhead features a standard brake system to maintain belt tension. This ensures the moveable bulkhead remains securely positioned against the head board while the trailer is being driven, which contributes to safety.
